Youth Conference- Pioneer trek

This year as a youth conference the stake did a trek. It was a three days of walking. 1st day we got put in to family and we got a wooden spoon and we got to meet the PA and MA. the picture on the right is on the last day. going back to the first day we did a reenactment of the Sweetwater. the young men had to carry the young women across the river. after that the young men went a way and then the Young women had to push the hand cart up a muddy hill and then the young men was line up and they could not help the young women. that part hit with the spirit that the young men haves in my life and how blessed that we have the Pristhood in our life.

This picture is on the second day late that night we got runned out of camp because of a mob. it was people that I know then from school and then some of them i know from church. after we all went back to bed. also that night I skined my knee and foot. that day we walked at one point we stoped and we played some Pioneer games.

the last day of the trek was an emoional time. I think that it was like that because we made. this picture is the families of the youth with white hanky. after we got in someone brought popslicle and all of us were happy. this youth conferecne is one forr the book because the people, the place and the time that the leaders took to make it happend!!

Karrie is quiting her job at McDonald's because they started treating her mean and she didn't work one day that she didn't know she was working so they told her she couldn't work until she talked to the boss so she went in on Monday to talk to her and she made Karrie real upset that she came out to the van crying so mush that she had an asthma attack and it took me almost 30 mintues to clame her down. Then she went back in and told her the hours she could work and she brought up that she wanted her work on days that she has church and again Karrie came out crying and after that we left we came home and talked about it and Karrie said she wouldn't give up her believes for a job and that's when we thought it would be best for her to quite.

last Saturday the youth had a dance but the youth from the Columbus 2ND did not go because a young man that shot himself.when all the youth found out went to the Busselberg to talk and to cry. Brother Clark and his daughter came and they talk to us. that Sunday the after this happend we had sacrament and that was it. I went back to the Busselberg. On Monday school was hard because they told the school on the intercom.I was in food science and when they said his name I was crying. all the week until Friday when his funeral was. his funeral was beautiful because of all the people that know Chase. They had the Youth Stake Choir along with the stage Choir from sing for the funeral they all sounded like angels Karrie was in it
(From Linda) they all said they knew that Chase was listening and that the way that Chase would liked it.that day I did not go to school after the funeral we all went to Carlos pizza in the mall. after that me and Lu went to see Pricess and the Frog.

This week was a long week. In school we had ISTEP and then I had three out of four wisdom teeth out. the 15Th- 17Th was the ISTEP. thankfully i had three of them because i think i could not have dealt with all the pain with all four of them out at the same time. on Friday the pain was so bad i could not do anything. i had to miss two day of school. a lot of people sayed that it would easier to do it know than to Wait.
that is what happend this week!

Independence Day!!!!!! and before

I hope we all can remember what this day is all about.

I know it has been along time since we have been on but a lot of things have been going on. Like a lot of us are doing now that school is out and our children are home. I have been trying to keep karrie busy on the days that she doesn't work. We took Mom to the doctor the other day for her falling and they had a MRI taken on her brain and it showed the she has some spots so tomorrow we are going to see a head doctor and see what they think they are. Karrie is getting happy about her trip she will be going on the 8th until the 10th. I am going back to the pain doctor on the 28th for another treatment to see if this will help with the pain. I am taking Donald back to the doctor on the 14th so they can check him out then he will go to the same head doctor on the 21st. So has you can see it will be a very busy month if you look at my calendar about every day I have something going on. I hope everyone will go and do something fun on this day that will help us to remember what this day is all about. Just addition to the July 1st. We took Mom to the doctor and the said she was just fine that the spots on her brain is do to age that the would be worried if she didn't have any that as we age our brain gets smaller. He is getting a utasound of your neck to see if everything is fine there. After Karrie got off work on on the 3rd her and I went and seen the fireworks at the airport by the College here. It took us an hour to get home when we only live about a minute away. The music was my favorite because there were country music that I like. Today is the fourth and we are all home just taking it easy and later we are going to have a cookout if it quites raining. They had a thing on the radio about today and what the flag means and it makes me think of The Star-Spangled Banner the first verse says:
Oh, say can you see, by the dawn's early light. What so proudly we hailed at the twilingt's last gleaming. Whose broad stripes and bright stars, through the perilous fight. O'ver the ramparts we watch, were so gallantly streaming? And the rockets red glare, the bombs brusting in air. Gave proof thru the night that our flag was still there.
O say does that star-spangled banner yet wave. O'ver the land of the free and the home of the brave?
It makes me proud that I live in this free country and that I can do and see anything I want. I am thankful for the men and women past, present, and furture that are and will fight for our freedom.

SCHOOL OUT!!!!!!!!

Today was the last day of school and we are so glad. I went and had lunch with Karrie and her lunch friends they will all get together for a pool party on Thursday. They just couldn't wait one day before they seen eachother. We made cookies for the party after she got out of school. It has rained all day off and on. We knew it would because the young women left for camp today. Karrie didn't want to go because she would have been a leader and she said she is more of a follower than a leader. It will be a year on Sunday that the flood happen and I think that has a lot to do with it also. I called them today to see about the house and they still don't know when they are going to be able to get in there to see what they can do. I just hope we are in there by the time this next year.

Service Project for Stake and things during the week

This week we had a very hot week it has been in the 80's. I went to the doctor twice this week one for my shoulder that has been popping and on my birthday for the pain in back and leg. Both of them put me on pills that seem to help but make me tried all the time. Our two wards did a service project for our stake. We went to our most cemetery that is used and took pictures of the graves for the site for finf a graveand our local Genealogical Society. We did the first 19 sections on the north end of the cemetery. And it is the older part of the cemetery. There is 91 sections. Then they have other places for people that are sectioned off. Karrie and I worked with a person from other ward and then our ward missionaries help. I wrote down the names she took the pictures and Karrie cleaned off the graves. We did about three rows of names and it took us about two hours then we had to leave. We have graduation open house after church.

It has been a bad week so far. Karrie lost her cell phone at school this week she doesn't know if she got it stolen or she put it into the trash at lunch when she took her tray back. Then we have to find a new doctor for Donald becase his died last week and a lot of doctor's here will not take his insurance so now we are trying to find him a new one. If this isn't bad enough we got told that we have to be out of our living place by the end of July and they say that it will be atleast six months before the house will be done if then. Yes, I got Karrie a new phone and I told her she better keep this one with her at all times in eye site. I just pray that the rest of the week will be better. So is any one having a better one let me know.

Stake Conference

We had Stake Conference this week-end. Karrie worked Friday night but she had to come home early because she had a headache. She came home took some medicine and she went to bed and slept all day and night. I went to Indianapolis for the adult night of conference I went up early with some friends because the male had to be there for an earlier meeting so his wife and I went into a room and she did work from her Salt Lake job and I read a book. Then after her husband's meeting we went out to eat and to Michael's to look around and I found a lot of things I would like to have to help Karrie learn how to cook and bake better. (So I told her we would have to go up there some week-end for her to look.) Then we went to our night meeting and it was GREAT. Then on Sunday we got to go to Conference here and see a broadcast from Salt Lake which was good. I didn't get much out of it because I was hurting from the night before.
